The Parking …

Well, I’ve got some follow up; Sara, our road’s housing Officer has got back with the figures for the Parking Scheme Vote. And a definite bit of clarification, from her end.

Here’s the text, though …

Dear All,
The parking scheme which has been voted on, will clamp and ticket offending vehicles it will be managed Parking Control Services. They will patrol the car park areas only, not the road. All vehicles will have to display a permit and be parked in a bay.
I have had no input into the petition that is now circulating, which is asking for the council to adopt the road.
As requested, please see below the results from the car parking voting forms.
Option One, Ticket offending vehicles 10.8%
Option Two, Resident responsible for ticketing 2.7%
Option Three, More Signs 10.8%
Option Four, Ticket and clamping 29.7%
Option Five, Council to adopt road 18.9%
Option Six, Barriers 18.9%
Option Seven, Rising Step barrier 8.1%
Myself and Natalie will be looking into ways we can stop people mis-using their permits. However I would ask all residents on the estate to be mindful, as we are aware the parking on the estate is restricted and if residents do sell / lend their permits to non-residents it would defeat the purpose of implementing this scheme.
I hope you will all be present at the meeting, as this is a perfect opportunity to discuss all your queries.
Kind Regards
Sara

Which settles any arguments; but does show me that Option 5, the Council option that I went for, came in a respectable joint second.
