The Parking Saga Continues …

Hmmm …

Well, that’s the parking permits finally sorted!!!!

Phew … ish …

Sara Bartleman, Rollason Way’s Housing Officer managed to drop my two in, this afternoon, bless her!

Which means I, and the other few stragglers who didn’t get to the meeting, last Tuesday, have now — as with everyone else, along the way — got my one Residents and one Visitors permit.

All good!!

But that did leave me with one minor nagging question I wanted to put to the lady, herself.

While I had her attention …

Allison occasionally looks in on movie nights, as you’ve probably worked out by now.

And Allison drives a motorbike!!

Not the one pictured, I should add, I know for a fact she’d not be too comfy with something that big.

But she had noticed it, the last time she was over, and wondering whether to put hers there …

Which is the first thing I asked Sara, when I got the chance.

Now, if I’ve understood Sara what she told me correctly, the bin in the bin area opposite my flat — in the top photo — will have the bin moved from where it is, to the bit where the bike is.

Where the bin is now will become a bike rack/motorbike parking area.

Where the bike is now, becomes the bin area, and will also feature recycling bins.

On the other side of the street — next to Damon House, itself — Sara tells me there’s plans to do something similar.

Complete with a fenced off bit for bikes and scooters, if I’ve understood her correctly.

Something that Sara tells me will be applied to all of the buildings in Rollason Way’s outside bin area’s, along the whole street.

On both sides of the street, it seems.

Which, all in all, sounds like a fairly good thing, although I can’t but wonder if there’s enough room for everything!!

And pretty certain SOMEBODY’S going to complain, either way!!
